Hello dear Friends!

Another easy exercice that everyone can do!

1. Is there a person, or place that has particularly influenced you?
2. For you, is it easier to forget, or to forgive?
3. Is male/female inequality a thing of the past?
4. Is a good education essential to have a ‘good job’?
Go for it! with THE FORCE.

Hello dears,

Fast workers!

ANSWER A: Topic 1. Is there a person, or place that has particularly influenced you?
The person whom I immediately think of is the therapist I used to visit for quite a long time several years ago. How did he influence me? Actually, he helped me both going out of my comfort zone and questioning my usual way of thinking and seeing the world. And he gave me 'secrets': for example: 'rather than being trustful, or mistrustful, be watchful'; I don't know how it sounds in English, but believe me, I've often made good use of this quick, accurate sentence; and it's not that easy, because I've noticed we always tend to either trust or mistrust, and therefore we give priority to emotions; whereas if we are watchful, we keep an objective eye on people and on situations, and we avoid being carried away by subjective feelings. I leave this other one to your meditation: don't confuse 'the average' with 'the normal'...153 words
Thanks for your help!

Hello!
The person I immediately think of is the therapist I used to visit for quite a long time several years ago. How did he influence me? Actually, he helped me to go out of my confort zone
*feelings and emotions are different, but I don't know which could translate the French 'émotions'

Hello, dears!

Thanks for your suggestions!

Here is ANSWER B: (the writer added: il ne faudrait pas que gerold s'ennuie...[

4. Is a good education essential to have a 'good job'?
I think it is a 'necessary but not sufficient condition'.
But, firstly, what do we consider 'education'? To me, 'education' refers not only to studies and school, but also to family upbringing; and then, what makes a good job? Income, self-realisation, common good for society and the planet? It depends on what you're looking for in your life...
That said, in my opinion, what is at least as important as education is:
- the connexions you may have in your field of activities: if you happen to know someone who knows someone... that will make things much easier! Those connexions may come from your family, your school, or you can manage to get them on your own... This leads us to :
- your dynamism and your ability to create and detect opportunities, which result from your personal temperament, but also from your education... in every sense of the word... 157 words

I suggest this:

- your dynamism and your ability to create and detect opportunities, which mainly result from your personal temperament.

Hello dears!

Don't feel guilty, dear Happynutmeg! You didn't misunderstand 'education'... Your definition proves that you're more British than you think you are...

"The main difference between "éducation" and "education" is that "éducation" refers to the process of learning or teaching, while "education" encompasses the systems, methods, and experiences that facilitate learning and intellectual development"

Hello!

Here is a third suggestion of ideas:
ANSWER C: 3. Is male/female inequality a thing of the past?
please, indicate possible mistakes and underline what looks clumsy to you...
Although people have incontestably become aware of the problem, I don't think we can speak of a 'thing from the past'. In many fields, women still find it hard to carve out their niches; deep-rooted clichés are responsible for this. Here is a symptomatic one: 'girls wouldn't be naturally as good as boys in maths and science'. Consequently, many parents won't necessarily encourage their daughters to improve their levels, whereas they would be much more demanding for boys... Unconscienciously, many girls tend to accept this cliché; if their grades are just average, they won't struggle to take competitive exams to get into an engineering school; unlike them, boys generally don't think their grades are not good enough to try it out. And girls who excell in this sort of studies are very often seen as exceptions... What is extraordinary in this matter is not their skills, but rather their determination and courage !

** 'that easy' est parfait et équivalent de 'so easy'
*feelings and emotions are different, but I don't know which could translate the French 'émotions'(both are possible! It's up to you...)
