quelles sont les différences entre les mots :
🠊 FURTHER, FARTHER, FURTHEST, FARTHEST, NEARER, CLOSER, NEAREST, CLOSEST.

Un dictionnaire répondrait à vos attentes.
FURTHER, FARTHER, FURTHEST, FARTHEST, NEARER, CLOSER, NEAREST, CLOSEST.
near: à coté de, mot technique.
The baker's shop is near the church.
close: tout près de, mot plus "humain"
Stay close to me ! I'm frightened !
far: loin Don't go too far !
far from: loin de Marseille is far from Paris.
......er: comparatif.
.....est: superlatif.
far a deux formes au comparatif et superlatif, farther et farthest parlent d'une distance alors que further et furthest parlent d'une progression.
He walked farther than me.
He who walks the farthest will be rewarded.
Further investigations proved him wrong.
I wonder who went the furthest in their research !
Put the vase nearer the wall !
Stand closer to me !
My car broke down and I had to stop in the nearest town.
He was the one who stood the closest to me while we were waiting for the ambulance.

Hello,
"Close" and "Near" most often mean the same thing. However, there are common "collocations", "common word combinations" or "idioms" that make one more "natural" English.
"It was a close call" is natural. Unnatural to say "It was a near call".
Natural "It was a near miss". Unnatural to say "It was a close miss".
When used as a preposition "close" must have the word "to" after it.

I fear with these words you have to learn common usage in many cases by memorization and not according to a grammatical rule.

En plus des explications précédentes...
FURTHER, FARTHER, NEARER, CLOSER,....ce sont des comparatifs
FURTHEST, FARTHEST, NEAREST,CLOSEST...ce sont des superlatifs
