Message de emma123 posté le 17-04-2017 à 14:51:42 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,
pourriez-vous avoir la gentillesse de corriger mes fautes s'il y en a?
Merci pour vos réponses.

Myth and heroes
I am going to talk about the notion myths and heroes. First of all I would like to give a definition of this notion: a myth is a popular story or belief that may or may not be true, a hero is someone idolized for his extraordinary achievements. In order to illustrate this notion I will answer the question what contributes to turning a hero into a myth? First I will explain what a hero is and then I will explain what makes a hero become a myth.

What is a Hero ?
The Hero’s Quality
A hero is someone who never give up until his goal is achieve and who wants to make the world a better place to live in , a hero fights to change the society and commands respect and admiration. A hero is strong and is ready to risk personal safety for others and finally a hero do not crave for fame or expect personal recognition. Famous heroes are for exemple Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King or Marie Curie…

The Hero’s Journey-> The exemple of Malala
First the hero is a nobody living in an ordinary world, Malala was a young girl living in Pakistan, then he receive a call to adventure, Malala was encouraged by a father to go to school, the hero meet his mentor and Malala’s mentor was her father. Then the hero is tested , he gain allies and ennemies and face ordeal that will change his life forever , Malala was shot in the head by Talibans then she was flown to Britain and she survived. Then the hero receives his rewards and resurrect as a new person , Malala met Barack Obama and the Queen of England and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, she lives and go to school in England in Birmingham with her family and finally things will never be the same again indeed Malala launched a non profit organization supporting education around the world.

II. What makes a hero become a myth?
A.Nelson Mandela the exemple of a myth
Nelson Mandela is considered as a myth , when he died at the age of 95 in his home at Johannesburg after a long infection the entire world has been plunged into mourning. The president Jacob Zuma said that his nation has lost his greatest son and his people has lost his father . Mandela was a black man who launch a campaign against apartheid, spend 27 years in prison but was release in 1990 after a global protest. He was the 1st Black president in South Africa and he even forgave his captors. He is a symbol of tolerance and represent the fight against racial segregation. Millions of people have been inspired by his courage and the world is paying tribute. For all this reasons Nelson Mandela is a myth.

B. What contribute to turning a hero into a myth
To be a myth your achievements need to be recognized in time and by the world. When you became a hero some not so positive aspect of your life are usually blurred out in order to you to become an example of wisdom.

To conclude, I think heroes has an important place in the society insofar as they are fighting to make the world a better place to live in , In our everyday life we are surrounded by heroes that we didn’t always noticed , only a few of them get the world attention’s by becoming a myth and marking the history
