I’m going to talk about the notion Places and forms of Power
First of all I would like to give a definition of this notion:
« Places » could be important buildings or institutions that represent a certain form of power.
A place can also be a country or a state.
The power , It is the ability to control others, events, or resources; the ability to make things happen despite obstacles, resistance, or opposition. This of course leads to conflict between those who have power and those who don’t.
In order to illustrate this notion, I have chosen to talk about two differents powers together , and to attempt to answer the question:
What are the different ways to access power and put into practice one's convictons and ideologies ?
There are different ways being in power and from exercising
I will start by talking about Nelson Mandela an exemple of favourable power based on values and respect then i talk about a destructive power which is to Hitler
To begin with Nelson Mandela , he was born in 1918 at the time of racial segregation enforces by the Afrikanners.
In 1962 Madela was arrested and sentenced to life and becames the most famous prisoner politician in the world .
After 27 years of captivity , Madela was released by the President . In 1991 apartheid was abolished and in 1994 Mandela was elected during the first multiracial democratic elections. He's the first black president of south africa.
during its Presidency Mandela will fight for freedom and the protection of human rights , the reconciliation and, agains the racial discrimination , apartheid and poverty.
In his speech, Mandela celebrate the end oh apartheid , the return of south africa in he community , the racial egality and the love of countr in order create « the rainbow nation .
The fight Madela spent his youth as a free man and when apartheid becaome the law, he fought againts it.
His power cam from , his moral strengh , his cinvictions , his ideal and his ability to forgive
A towering figure in 20th century history, Nobel Laureate Nelson Mandela showed how wisdom and patience can triumph over bigotry and brute force. Truly the Father of a Nation.
All power aren't the same
Next I would like to speak about Hitler, a man has presided over a regime.
It's in 1933 when Hitler comes to power , then begins a period of crimes against humanity , most horrible as each other
He is presented as the only person able to get the country out of the crisis. It crosses he rise to the top is fast,Organizing the cult of personality , Hitler use an inflammatory language in his speech.
The national socialists have established a brutal dictatorship and organised a mondial war leanding the death of many people and executing of genocide
After 4 years of war , Germany was devastated.Ideology of nazism is based on the idea of the superiority of the Aryan race , a master race represented only by germans.
His purpose sole aim is to create a perfect human race at the expense of other. It will cause of the death of 17 million people.
To conclude,
Hitler said « It is not truth that matters , but victory » this sentence resume the way he acts, he's had the power by lies in order go all the way oh his ideas , without mercy for the people. It's an exemple of negative power. He took advantage of impoverished people goal of had the power.
In contrast, Nelson Mandela said "Man's goodness is a flame that can be hidden but never extinguished." Charasteristic of a person compassionate and wonderful , who made it happen to help the people and restore the peace.
