Bonjour,
Sujet : Explain in your own words the evolution of Quatar's role in the Middle East.
Quatar is a small country of the Arabic Peninsula whose inhabitants are sunni Muslims for the major part. The wealth of the country comes from oil revenues, but considering that oil reserves will decrease little by little in the future, the government has decided to diversify its investments so as to leverage the consequences of the future expected economic transition. That is why, for some years, the country has been becoming a major stakeholder in modernism within the Middle East : it has built many infrastructures to host great world events, it has emphasized tourism development , it has been committed to eco-friendly projects, and so on.
Thanks to its economic and financial assets, Quatar has gained some political influence and is now often associated in international talks regarding the Middle East. But while it progressively builds its soft power, it still lacks military power which prevents it from reaching leadership in the area, contrary to Seoudi Arabia or Iran. (159 words)
En vous remerciant,
Cordialement.

Hello,
Something's wrong with:
Quatar ...spelling (3 times)
sunni ...capital letter
associated in international talks ...mind the preposition
military power which prevents it ...comma after 'power'
Seoudi Arabia ...spelling
Hope it helps.

Re-bonjour,

Hello
'to balance the consequences' would be correct, yes; you could use the verb 'soften' as well.
Good job
