Hello,
Are there any differences between the two sentences below?
A: I wrote a diary of being on the planet.
B: I wrote a diary about being on the planet.
When I compare "heard of" with "heard about", or "know of" with "know about", "about" seems to include more details.
I'd appreciate if someone could help me understand the differences.

You say:"When I compare "heard of" with "heard about", or "know of" with "know about", "about" seems to include more details."
Heard of is more general (a rumor) than heard about:
"People abandon their pets more and more nowadays" "Yes, I've heard of that!"
Have you heard anything about that crash ? it is more precise, more specific.
"You'll have to pay if you choose to close that bank-account." Yes, I've heard about that.
