. Cuckoo Jack Jack twouit touwitouhou ! Hello dear Marit from overthere ,
Hope you are well and happy , enjoying a nice summer
Here are my invisible answers !
1 ) turf in formal English : the word grass is mostly used in UK , as we know turf being the Irish peat . Is it a specific term for horses' races ?
2 ) kick , like children' s shoes 'kickers'
3 ) uneven like uneven cobbled ( pavées ) streets -# even numbers( pairs) , not uneven.
4 ) odd like odd numbers ( impairs)
5 ) unforgettable like you and us all here ! 'Once seen , never forgotten !' said my English friends , on my first arrival ( a lovely start, wasn't it ?
6 ) hump ( camel riding on white sand is great if you are not 'seasick'! ) # a swollen bump after knocking your forehead or head -ouch !
7 ) armband to tend an injury or hold it ; enough strips on a scar , this year !
8 ) 'Love me , love my dog ! ' is a quotation
9 ) to quake like earthquakes and Quakers ' Oats ! These people do not tremble..., they believe ...
10 ) relative ( like relative clauses ) , very tricky for foreign learners ; not to confuse parents and relatives - the same word in French
Thank you very much for this week's grid , friend ! All the best to you and take care !.
