Good evening,

there is a traffic sign in France " ATTENTION TRAVAUX FORESTIERS "
Does anybody know an equivalent in English?
In every instance, please, could you correct my following translation proposal?
'CAUTION PEOPLE AT FOREST (ROAD)WORKS'

first my thanks to all of you for your answers and proposals!!!
So, after I had looked up in the dictionary again and consulted the Internet links, I would say
a first traffic sign
CAUTION
ROADWORKS AHEAD
30 m /35 yds (rounded up)

plus a supplementary sign underneath
(WARNING)
FOREST OPERATIONS
IN PROGRESS

Two questions: what do "ahead" and "operations" mean in this context? « droit devant » and « travaux » (in the meaning of « opérations »)?
To be more precise, the context will be roadworks (tree cutting, pruning and so on) on a B-road (a secondary road) which goes through a forest.

En faisant un double clic sur un mot vous obtenez un dictionnaire en ligne.

Ahead exprime ce qui se passe en tête (head), à l'avant, devant etc.
Operations exprime en effet travaux,opérations au sens large du terme.
