J'aimerais savoir comment améliorer mon vocabulaire et corriger mes fautes s'il y en a !

I look forward to meeting you and I follow you grateful for welcoming me at your home! You have all the smiling and very kind air! I saw we have many common interests, which will be a pleasure for the stay. As I said in my first letter, I never went in America and it is a real chance for me to stay there during 3 weeks sharing with you of good moments. I’m happy that you have a girl who is almost my age, I am sure that we shall get along very well!
I’m really sorry to answer you so late, I was in period of exams and I wasn't able to write you!

Merci de votre aide ! En réalité ce n'est pas la première fois que je les contacte, j'avais auparavant envoyé ma lettre de motivation (beaucoup plus longue) ! Ce n'est qu'une brève réponse pour leur dire que j'ai bien reçu leur première lettre

Hello fraise 123 ,
Deux remarques de vocabulaire :-- "chance" est un faux ami ,vous voulez sûrement dire "opportunity"
-- les parents ont une fille et un fils : a daughter and a son .
Je suggère de trouver une formule de fin moins familière .
