Bonjour,

Après avoir pris connaissance des cours sur anglaisfacile, je me résous à poster un sujet sur la nécessité de mettre un "The" ou pas devant certains termes.
Par exemple, voici quelques phrases de ma composition qui me posent encore problème.
" The/0 Ethnic minorities in the UK are still underrepresented in the /0 higher spheres"
" She may as well resume her daily life in the/0 high class society after her trip abroad"

La question que vous devez vous poser:
est-ce que les éléments qui vous posent problème sont
1)délimités, spécifiques à un autre élément x,
2)cités dans un cadre général à dimension mondiale ou universelle?

1) = article
2) = pas d'article

Well, I'll give it a try then.

1- " The Ethnic minorities in the UK are still underrepresented in the higher spheres"
2- " She may as well resume her daily life in 0 high class society after her trip abroad"

1- These are THE minorities THAT live in the UK.
They are not represented enough in THE (British) higher spheres.

2- We can suppose she will resume her life in high society in general, not a typical one - French high society for instance.

Am I correct?
