Verb agreement/help

Hello!
Exercise 100318 - verb agreement - sentence six
Can it be "to stay.." instead of "Staying"?
I do not understand the difference.

Hello,
gerunds and infinitives are both verbal forms that act as nouns.
They can both be the subject of a sentence such as: "staying hydrated is important.." or 'to stay hydrated is important.."
