Bonjour à tous,
Je suis en seconde et j'ai un petit devoir d'expression écrite avec comme sujet : Who or what is the person or event of the year 2012 ?
J'ai eu plusieurs idées et j'ai choisi la prophétie des Mayas ;-)
Voilà mon texte, mais j'aurais besoin de quelques conseils ou de petites corrections si nécessaire; j'ai mis entre crochets les mots et expressions dont je ne suis pas sûr de l'utilisation dans le contexte ou de leur orthographe. :

As a matter of fact, I'm convinced that the mayan's prophecy is the event of the year 2012. [Whole world] expected an event like an [asteroide] or solary explosion but there was nothing. A lot of people believed to this prediction but [it seems that] it is a simple joke, an imagination. The end of the world [intrigues] the human being and the date of 21st december 2012 was expected by all. As well [it seems] the world keeps on with all it problems, war and disagree. [Whithout forgetting] Bugarach a french village who had to be a sacred place that will protect few lucky people [from] the end of the world.
The 21st december 2012, considered like the event of the year, [makes the end of the world come] the most gag of the year.

A lot of people believed to (mauvaise préposition) this prediction but [it seems that] it was a simple joke, an imagination a fabrication. The end of the world [intrigues] the human beings and the date of 21st december 2012 was expected by all. As well [it seems] the world keeps on (ces mots ne vont pas) with all it problems, wars and disagreements. [Without forgetting] And not to forget Bugarach: a french village who had to be (doit être ?) a sacred place that will protect a few lucky people [from] the end of the world.
The 21st of december 2012, considered as the event of the year, was the most ridiculous of the year.

Merci pour votre aide.
Je vais corriger les fautes d'orthographe et faire quelques changements :
- A lot of people believed to ----> A lot of people believed in
- the world keeps on with all it problems ----> the world carries on with all it problems
- who ----> which
- had to be ----> (en fait je veux dire "qui devait être")
Quelle est la différence entre "without forgetting" et "and not to forget" ?

Your corrections are OK.

And not to be forgotten is Bugarach: a French village believed to be a sacred place that will protect a few lucky people from the end of the world.

I think I should move to Bugarach then.
