Hello,
Just a quick question, what is the correct term for 'grammatical features?' such as "would" and "may"? (I don't mean that they signify moods, but the actual name of the feature in a part of a sentence)
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
These words are sometimes referred to as "modal verbs", I'd say "modal auxiliaries" as they work as the other common auxiliaries "BE/DO/HAVE", except that each of them convey a particular meaning(that's why they're called "modals"). Just remember that they are invariable, so whatever the subject the form is the same...
Hope this helps.
