Hello,

Can you tell me if this sentence is correct?
--> "The past is gone and future seems so wrong" <--

I know that "the future" would be more appropriated but it's a sentence for a song, and I'd like to know if it could be "ok". Does it sound correct to you? Is the "the" necessary?

I think your sentence may be correct for a song :there are so many songs with a so approximate English !

I know that many songs eliminate words...but since you started the sentence with "The past," not having "the" before future sounds odd.

Sometimes, though, I've heard songs in which a sentence had no articles at all!

Perhaps if you wrote... "Past is gone, future seems so wrong..."
