Good Evening

My question is about the employ use of these two forms:

-What's the weather like?
-How is the weather?

I know that both of them are correct but which of them do you usually employ use in conversations?
I saw that "How is the weather?" was rather used in songs.

Hello,

I see you are from Biarritz. How's the weather down in Biarritz? I visited Biarritz in May 2010. It is a beautiful place. I stayed with my friends there who showed me their wonderful Basque country. I loved the villages!

Well, back to the topic. I use both of those phrases to ask about the weather and I'm not sure if one is used more than the other. Take your pick!

In Biarritz,today is cloudy and rainy but it is a rather warm day(about 14°C>
