My US cover letter

Bonjour,
je dois faire un stage aux Etats-Unis dans le cadre de mon BTS. Pouvez-vous me dire s'il y a des fautes dans ma lettre de motivation svp s'il vous plaît?.
"Dear Mr X,
I am writing to explore the possibility of participating in a training program in your company. As a French student pursuing a degree in Export Marketing, I am required by my University to complete a practical training in a company abroad. My training must start from Mai 9th 2011 to July 15th 2011 in the field of prospecting for American or French customers.

What could interrest your company is my language travel in New York and Los Angeles during 6 month wich enable me to know the American culture. I am also a contractor, I created a company in July 2010 in the field of digital videos, you can see my website here : xxx
Furthermore I like to be in contact with people of different cultures and I am motivated to be part of your staff and find you new custumers.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and I strongly believe that my motivation, personal skills and studies will allow me to excel in a training position with you.
