Back home ..Bonjour chaleureux à tous, en espérant que vos vacances ont été aussi ensoleillées que les miennes et surtout que vous allez tous bien.
La rentrée approche..nos chères têtes " blondes, brunes ou rousses" aussi.(décidément Verlaine m'a marquée)
Un démarrage en douceur et sourires. Vous allez vous y retrouver..
-- Correction prévue vers le 10 Septembre
---------Ceux qui ont des enfants savent ! Ceux qui n'en ont pas , ou pas encore doivent bien réfléchir ! --Thème -----------------------------------
- C'est l'histoire d'une institutrice* de dernière année de maternelle, à la mi- Janvier, le mois le plus dur pour tout le monde..
Un des gamins lui demande de l'aide pour mettre ses bottes pour aller en récréation et, en effet, elles sont vraiment difficiles à enfiler...
Après avoir poussé, tiré, re-poussé et tiré dans tous les sens, les bottes sont enfin chaussées et le gamin dit :
- " Elles sont à l'envers, maîtresse ."
La maîtresse attrape un coup de chaud quand elle s'aperçoit qu'en effet , il y a eu inversion des pieds..
Bref, nouvelle galère* pour les enlever et rebelote* pour les remettre , mais elle réussit à garder son calme jusqu'à ce que les bottes soient rechaussées, aux bons pieds.
Et là, le gamin lui dit avec toute la candeur qui caractérise les enfants :
- " C'est pas mes bottes !"
A ce moment, elle fait un gros effort pour ne pas lui mettre une baffe*, fait un tour sur elle-même en se mordant les lèvres, se calme et lui demande pourquoi il ne l'a pas dit avant..
Comme le gamin voit bien qu'il a contrarié sa maîtresse, il ne répond pas.
Elle dit alors :
- " Bon , allez, on les enlève"..et elle se met à nouveau au boulot.
Le deuxième pied est presque sorti quand le gamin poursuit :
- " C'est pas mes bottes, c'est*celles de mon frère, mais Maman a dit que je dois les mettre ."
Là, elle a envie de pleurer mais, une nouvelle fois, elle se calme et entreprend de lui re- re-mettre ses bottes.
L'opération est enfin réussie et la maîtresse se sent fière d'être arrivée au bout de ses peines avec succés.
Pour aller jusqu'au bout, elle le met debout, lui fait enfiler son manteau, lui met son cache-nez et lui demande :
-" Où sont tes gants ?"
Et le gamin de répondre le plus simplement du monde :
- " Je les ai mis dans mes bottes."
..............................Avec toute ma candeur , je ne peux citer le nom de l'auteur de cette petite histoire : elle circulait sur le net à un moment et m'a amusée. ------------------------------------------------------------------
--*Le niveau de langue est volontairement simplifié voire familier (c'est une première, pas vrai?). Histoire populaire à transmettre aussi à l'oral pour se détendre. En outre, un jeune enfant ne s'exprime que très rarement en langage parfaitement tenu. C'est son charme...
--* Le joli nom d'instituteur ou institutrice est devenu "professeur des écoles".
--* Une galère(terme actuel) (pour nos anglophones) : toute une affaire, une lutte, une traversée épique..Mais après tout, Molière et son Scapin?
--*Rebelote: terme de jeu de cartes. La belote marque des points..et rebelote est un second pli gagnant .(il va falloir que je révise!..) . On remet tout le travail en route . Sa toile sur le métier, par exemple..! Et woilà! On recommence depuis "le budet"..euh..début!
--*Expression vulgaire pour "donner une gifle" : ATTENTION! Et je le crie sur le site : jamais en France (entre autres), il ne viendrait à l'idée d'un enseignant digne de ce nom d'en arriver là!! INTERDIT et IMPENSABLE !.." La baffe" est tout de même (linguistiquement ) plus rapide à tomber que la gifle...Comme un réflexe..Mais,ZEN ! OHM..This must not be "beyond our control" (Valmont dixit)

You're back. We missed you a lot ! So, here is my try. The story is pretty funny and hard to translate. Anyway, prose is the hardest exercise... To my mind...
Those who have children know ! Those who don’t have or not yet have to think about !
It is a last nursery year teacher’s story, in the middle of January, the most laborious month for everyone.
One of the kids asks her some help for put his boots and then go in playtime and, indeed, they are really difficult to put on.
After pushing, pulling, pushing again and pulling in all sides, boots are finally put on and the kid says :‘Teacher, they are reversed.’
The teacher has a heat stroke when she realizes that indeed, they weren’t well put.
Anyway, new hell to remove it and here we go again to put it on, but she manages to stay cool until the boots are well put.
Then, the kid tells her with children characteristic candor :
‘These aren’t my boots’
At this time, she makes a big effort not give him a slap, she turns round her, bitting her lips, calms down and wonders why he hasn’t told before…
As the kid sees he upset his teacher, he doesn’t answer
Then, she says :
‘So, we will remove it’ and she sets to work once again.
The second foot is almost out when the kid purchases
‘They aren’t my boots, this is brother’s one, but Mum told me I must put them.
There, she feels like crying, once again, she cools down and undertakes to put his boots again.
The working succeeds and the teacher feels proud to achieve his purposes successfully. To go all the way, she has him stood up, slipped on his coat, put his muffler and asks him :
‘Where are your gloves ?’
And the kid answers by the simplest way :
‘-I put them in my boots.’

At that point, she wants to cry, but,for the second time,she keeps quiet and begins to put his boots on ,again.
the process succeeds and the teacher feels proud to achieve success and to be through with her troubles.
To go all the way,she stands him up , makes him to pull on his coat, his scarf, and asks him:
-"where are your gloves?"
and the kid replies ,as though it was nothing:
-" I put them into my boots.

Hello Violet - Better late than never I suppose. Here is my version of your funny story.
This is the story of a kindergarten teacher and an incident which happened with her class in their final year. It is mid-January, probably the most difficult time of the year.
One of the children asked her to help her put on his boots so that she could go out to recreation and indeed she was having trouble getting them on...
So she obliged and after a lot of pushing and pulling the boots were finally on when the child said "They're on the wrong feet, Miss...."
The teacher got rather hot under the collar when she noticed that the boots were indeed on the wrong feet.
More bother trying to get them off and get them on again, this time on the right feet. That was when the kiddie stated candidly, typical of children of that age "They're not my boots!"
It was at this point it was all she could do to hold back a good slap, so she bit her lip and calmly asked the child why she hadn't told her this before. As the child could see that the teacher was getting rather frustrated she didn't answer.
So she said:
"Right! Come on, get them off" and she started all over again.
The second foot was almost out when the child went on.
"They're not my boots, they're my brother's but Mummy said I have to wear them."
At this point she was almost in tears but once again she calmed herself down and started to put the boots back on for a third time.
The operation was a success and the teacher felt proud that she had been able to finally get the boots on.
She helped the child up, put her coat and scarf on and asked her "Where are your gloves?
And the child quite innocently replied "I put them in my boots."
As I work in a primary school with Grand Section, I can appreciate the frustrating side of this story. It is rare that a child will question an adult to tell them that their jacket is inside out or similar. You have to be on your toes with youngsters!!!

Merci encore d'avoir un peu patienté..(cela me permet de saluer may , robertbrou ,very helpful "ailleurs" et de retrouver dear intrepid ).
Cette rieuse histoire de bottes était une "autre paire de manches" !! Pas si simple , en effet!
J'ai d'ailleurs fait au mieux..en me permettant quelques privautés!

That is when the darling specifies with that candidness so characteristic of children :
-" These are not my wellies !"
This time, she strains herself not to clip his ear (slap him silly) , makes a full turn ,biting her tongue ( her lower lip), calms down and asks why on earth he never thought of telling her before.
As the kid can see he has made his teacher cross, he would not utter a word.
Therefore, she says :
- "Alright then ! Let us pull them off, shall we ?"...And she starts all over again.
The second foot (Foot 2 !) is almost out when the kid adds :
- " These aren't my wellies ! They're my brother's, but Mummy said I have to wear them."
Now, she is just about to burst into tears but, then again ,she controls her nerves and bravely sets to work : re-putting the wellies all over again..
-A GOOD JOB she has done, at last ! She can be proud of the result ! (They both are out of the wood !)
To reach the very end, she stands the kid up (right in his boots!), gets him to put his coat on, ties herself his wool scarf around his neck and asks :
- " Where are your gloves ,now ?"
Thereupon, the little angel's (devil's !)reply sounds crystal-clear :
- " I put them in my WELLIES !"

Sharon bites her tongue (too)rather than shout at Miriam. " Why didn't you say so ?"Once again, Sharon struggles to help Miriam pull the ill-fitting* boots off her little feet. No sooner had they got the boots off when Miriam says, " They're my brother's boots, teacher. My mom made me wear them.
Now Sharon doesn't know if she should laugh or cry. But she musters up what patience she has left to wrestle the boots on Miriam's feet again. Then, helping Miriam into her coat, Sharon asks, "Now, Miriam, where are your gloves ?"
Miriam replies, " I stuffed *them in the toes of my boots, teacher."
PS. Sharon will soon be coming out of psychiatric care. (So, you were right, dear ariane!..)

J'arriiiive..! Je remercierai mes 13 acolytes valeureux ,anglophones (4 ou 5)et francophones ( 9 ou 8)après la correction.
1) Comme une adresse aux soeurs et "frères humains"(François Villon pour USA)...d'ici, plus loin, là-bas ,partout ailleurs THOSE : adj.pl démonstratif (éloignement physique ou mental): il faut "ratisser large" (voir en grand )en ironisant un peu !

18 ) Place de" Miss" !Ce qui compte d'abord dans la bouche de l'enfant , ce sont les bottes...il ne demande pas la parole (ce serait placé devant),il fait sa petite remarque..la maîtresse vient après.Et c'est un "duo" en conversation.
La tradition (UK) veut "Miss" ou "Teacher"..quel que soit le statut. Comme les "premières maîtresses ", celles de l'ancien temps étaient des demoiselles.(cf.la tantine célibataire de Jean ROUAUD "Les Champs d'honneur"( Fields of glory"-1992)--Prix Goncourt .1990)

Avec leur simplicité et spontanéité , les petits enfants ne se posent pas de question de morale ou politesse..c'est leur charme .,pourtant, parfois embarrassant pour les adultes.
-- EX : Un jour , my kiddie 1, encore si petite qu'elle était posée , assise sur le comptoir de la pharmacie, dit bien clairement :
- "-Oh! regarde la dame derrière toi ! Là ! La dame !" (je n'osais me retourner : je le fais ..c'était un monsieur un peu efféminé..Well ! A l'aise !
--Un autre plus ancien à Bordeaux ,chez mes parents le matin de Noël : deux tout petits garçons viennent de déballer leur chien à roulettes (chacun le même, je crois) : l'un ,très,très connu de moi et encore plus de toi, soror mea s'enquiert :

Le lycée autogéré de Paris , créé après celui de Saint Nazaire(chapeauté quand-même par le frère de Monsieur Vert)me laissse perplexe(très) ..quant aux souplesses et résultats! Sorry !

Bonjour bien chaleureux à tous même si il fait "frisquet" : c'est le jour de l'amitié.
Très poliment , vous attendez..merci / Voyez, c'est comme les copies, plus on les lit , relit..plus on trouve d'erreurs . J'ai ainsi pu rectifier quelques "bourdes" : frappe et dates !..
J'espère que mes corrections sont (now) "nickel" .
--Alors, now then , à ce TABLEAU D' HONNEUR ( je ne " crie " pas..je suis enthousiaste et ma voix doit porter jusqu'au Canada et aux USA ), j'appelle et remercie infiniment celles et ceux qui ont "retroussé leurs manches" (pull their socks up = you must work much more with your feet/legs than we do overhere!) à cette affaire de bottes !
