Could you help me to correct these exercices? Thank you for your help...
1. Write the correct conditionnal form
If the Mary Celeste had had modern communication devices, then it would have sent out a distress signal.
I wish I had more money.
Next week, I am applying for a new job, and I really hope I get the job.
2. Use simple past or present perfect
Adam is just sixteen years old, but he has commited several crimes since he turned twelve. He has stolen cars at least six times. Last March, the police arrested him. Adam spent last summer in a youth camp for troubled adolescents. In the summer camp, he received counselling.
He has written many books about crime behaviour. In 2001, he wrote Criminal Justice Today. According to him, psychologists have developed at least nine different theories to explain the criminal mind.
3. Use any verbs tenses (present, future and perfect tenses)
Do you think that you are too sophisticated to give in to mass hysteria? In 1999, many groups believed that the world would soon end. In December 1999, my ucle bought 400 cans of food. When I saw him last March, he said that he didn't have any cans left because he had given them all away. Since March, I have not spoken to him. Next year, when I have some free time, I will visit him.
My brother belives that witches are evil. Right now, he is watching a silly movie about witches. He doesn't know the true story of witches. In 1691, the witch mania began when eight young girls had strange symptoms.In February, while a magistrate was questioning a family about a series of crimes, two young girls accused some elderly woman of being witches. Did the state kill over 20 innocent men and women in 1692?
4. Correct modals in the sentences below.
