Salut,

Hi, I don't know the area you want to work in, but this is how I got a job with Education Nationale:
1. You are more likely to be accepted by Private schools than by Public ones, so target your local DDEC. (Education Catholique)
2. Write a covering letter (which has been checked for spelling, grammar & general content by a French friend - preferably one that is a teacher!)
3. Send it with photocopies of your degree certificates and a translation of all the documents.
4.Hopefully you will be called for an interview.
5. You will hear nothing until someone gets ill or pregnant or whatever, then suddenly they need you and you get a phone call to start tomorrow, so be prepared to drop everything and go wherever you're needed.
Meanwhile, if you know any teenagers, ask to have a look at their English books so you can see what's on the programme from 6ème to Terminale as it's a bit daunting to suddenly have to deal with 5 different levels at a collège/lycée even if you are an experienced teacher.
Good luck.
