Hey! Good afternoon and... merry Christmas!
Could you help me by checking this translation I have just done, please? And sorry if my English level lowered, I haven't practised it whatsoever these past months...
Dimanche soir.
Avant le début du concert, je reste debout à l'entrée de l'église et je regarde la nef. Des ombres planent, menaçantes, sur les voûtes du plafond bien que la lumière à l'extérieur n'ait pas encore baissé ; derrière moi, les grandes portes en bois ont été fermées.
Devant moi, les derniers spectateurs viennent juste de rejoindre leurs places. Presque tous les sièges sont occupés et les conversations se mêlent en un brouhaha sourd.
Je frissonne.

Translation:
Sunday night.
Before the beginning of the concert, I remain standing up in the entrance of the church and I'm looking at the nave. Shadows are gliding, frightening, on the vaults of the ceiling although the light inside hasn't lowered yet; behind me, the high wooden doors have been closed.
In front of me, last people of the audience just got their seat. Almost all the seats are filled and conversations are combined with a faint brouhaha.
I'm shiving.

Shadows are gliding, frightening, (signifie effrayantes alors que threatening signifierait menaçantes)on the vaults of the ceiling although the light inside(le texte dit à l'extérieur) hasn't lowered (decreased/died out) yet; behind me, the high wooden doors have been closed.
In front of me, the last people of the audience (present perfect)just got their seat (pluriel). Almost all the seats are filled and the conversations are combined with (il faudrait un verbe actif: fuse into, merge into a faint brouhaha.(faint signifie à peine audible, léger, dull irait mieux)
I'm shiving.(plutôt shivering)
