Hello everyone!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Here I am to ask you a pretty straightforward question... How would you translate 'bonnet' into English?
There are many translations on the Internet but I don't know which one I should use...
Thank you!

Hello. I'm talking about the 'bonnet' we put on our heads when it's cold.
I saw the translation was 'hat' but... 'hat' is 'chapeau' for me!

Hello,
Hat is correct; maybe a woolly hat when it's very cold

Hello, I think you're talking about a "hood". There is also a "bonnet", that girls might wear in the summer. (Incidentally, the part of a car that Americans call a "hood" is called a "bonnet" in Britain.)
See you.

Hello traviskidd,
A hood is not a 'bonnet' as it is attached to a coat. A 'bonnet' is not attached to a coat.

Hello.
Bonnet is not used so much these days, but a bonnet is a woman's or child's hat that is tied in a bow under the chin. A woman's bonnet will have a brim. The two most common uses are a baby bonnet and a sun bonnet. I hope this helps. Sherry
