Que signifie cette phrase ?

First and foremost, Don't kill your brain.
You cannot translate English into French. (or not every time).

Second,
run / running (courir) is used (in French too) in different opportunities.
(répandre, couler(nose= nez) goutter, fondre, déteindre...) and so on...
when talking about "life" (run one's life = vivre sa vie) OR about "time" "time is running out" il ne reste plus beaucoup de temps."time". Precisely what I want to talk about.
Let's run over,(recap) will you? "you put the running into run" Literally (déclenchez/ préparez la course à courir) in French it does not make sense.

As I explained to you "run" refers to time and "running" to "ce qui est en cours"
Take in account the context of this song.(the context is the most important think to interpret a language). Don't you forget that!

you put the running into run" " tu mets ce dont il s'agit (les faits) en course (sur la table).
right after she says :

(Je suppose qu'elle cherche à faire le point sur la situation)

Nobody knows the meaning in French, including an English speaker on the forum.
Just understand what logically she is entitled to express.

Hello nongprue and thanks for this accurate analysis of Sia's song!
I perfectly know it is almost impossible to perfectly translate a lyric text into another language I just wanted to understand the main sense of the sentence because I didn't catch it at all before your explanation .
