Hello!
Ma copine est Américaine et j'essayais de lui expliquer la concordance des temps en français. Bref, elle m'a demandé de traduire deux phrases en français:
1/ I forgot to tell you that I was having a drink with X tonight
2/ I forgot to tell you that I will have a drink with X tonight
On pourrait même ajouter : I forgot to tell you that I was going to have a drink with X tonight
La traduction étant :
J'avais oublié de te dire que j'allais boire un verre avec X ce soir.
Vient donc ma question, ces deux phrases en anglais sont-elles bonnes ? La phrase intégrant du futur (/2) sonne tellement fausse dans ma tête !

La seule phrase correcte est: 1/ I forgot to tell you that I was having a drink with X tonight.
La forme v-ing a selon le contexte le sens de futur.
