Hello!
It's UP TO YOU! and in all cases, it's GREAT!
Have fun! I give you THE FORCE!
I) Please, help my student! He really needs you! He still hasn't understood that punctuation can help... That makes it more difficult, for sure... Please, pardon him...
if this nature built man and woman differences both physicaly and mentaly how can they be egal nature not only did this difference in humane it did in all living species of the planet gender egality egality between man and woman implys the ideas than all human being both man and woman are free to develop their personnal abillity and do choises without the limit setting by stereotype rigid gender role and prejudice gender egality mean that the different behaviour aspiration and need for woman and man are considering valuing and favouring egaly it does not mean that woman and man must becoming the sames but than their right responsability and oportunity will not depend of weather they are borne male or female gender equity mean fair treatments for woman and man according to they’re respective need
II) Can you, please, reorder the words so as to make meaningful sentences… All the words must be used, none should be added!
1) ADULTS/ WOMEN/ ABOUT/ WORLD’S/ THIRDS/ ILLITERATE/ OF/ TWO/ ARE/ THE/ = 10
2) COUNTRIES/ SUBORDINATION/ WOMEN/ LEGAL/ COMMON/ 1970s/ EUROPEAN/ MARRIED/ THE/ OF/ UNTIL/ ACROSS/ WAS/ = 13

4) VICTIMS/ LESS/ MORE/ TO/ MEN/ WOMEN/ VIOLENCE/ POLITICALLY/ LIKELY/ LIKELY/ DOMESTIC/TO/ ACTIVE/ BE/BE/OF/ FAR/ FAR/ ARE/ THAN/ AND/ = 21
I checked, double checked and triple checked... It should be OK! Good work! (Well! it wasn't! [Thanks maxwell!]
II) ANOTHER TORTURE?

Hello Taiji, hello You All,
Got me?

III) ANOTHER TORTURE?
A partir de l'expression française suivante : « Perdre connaissance »
Seeing the wounds of her child, the mother lost consciousness,
[..... ] May be, but yesterday evening, She drunk until she blacked out.
Q : Do you think that hypnosis is a synonym of " lapse into unconsciousness" ? It's really possible, but I am not the right person to respond this difficult question.

What a pleasure to spend an evening near the fireplace, when outside it is a freezing cold !
J'aime que mon mari porte son pull col cheminée, ça lui va à ravir....
I love that my husband wears his chimney collar pullover, it suits him perfectly ....
The idea that the woman is the equal of the man walked long in the minds before it became a reality, finally, so to speak!
FINISHED, and ready to be corrected.
THANKS A LOT

Hello my dear Here4u and Maxwell, and thank you both for your great exercises ! FINISHED !
Hi Everybody!
Here is my work:
I) Please, help my student! He really needs you! He still hasn't understood that punctuation can help... That makes it more difficult, for sure... Please, pardon him...

Here is my marking:
* J'ai placé les femmes d'abord, question de courtoisie... : elles sont toujours avant les hommes sauf en descendant les marches...
** Dexterity = dextérité, habilité manuelle.
Acumen = habilité intellectuelle, intelligence.
Pourquoi pas les deux formes d'habilités ?
IF nature BUILDS DIFFERENCES BETWEEN *WOMEN and MEN, both PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY, how can they HAVE EQUAL NATURES? Not only did THESE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HUMAN BEINGS, it did in THE WHOLE living species of the planet gender EQUALITY. EQUALITY between WOMEN and MEN IMPLIES the IDEA THAT all THE human BEINGS, both WOMEN and MEN, are free to develop their PERSONAL DEXTERITIES/ACUMENS** and MAKE CHOICES without the limit setting by A stereotype rigid gender role, and DAMAGES.
Gender EQUALITY MEANS that the different BEHAVIOUR ASPIRATIONS and NEEDS for WOMEN and MEN are CONSIDERED VALUED and THAT'S favouring EQUALY. IT does not mean that WOMEN and MEN must BECOME the SAME, but THAT their RIGHTS, RESPONSIBILITIES and OPPORTUNITIES will not depend ON WETHER THEY WERE BORN male or female gender, EQUALITY MEANS fair treatments for WOMEN and MEN according to THEIR respective NEEDS.
What I've understood... :

If nature MAKES, both MEN and WOMEN PHYSICALLY AS WELL MENTALLY different, how can they be EQUAL? Not only nature
did this difference in THE MANKIND, it did it in all living species of the planet: EQUALITY OF gender. THE EQUALITY between
men and women IMPLIES the IDEA THAT all human BEINGS, both MEN and WOMEN, are free to develop their PERSONAL ABILITIES and
MAKE THEIR OWN CHOICES, without the LIMITS SETTLED by A STEREOTYPED, rigid, gender role. A PRE-ESTABLISHED gender
equality MEANS that the different BEHAVIOURS, ASPIRATIONS and NEEDS OF man and woman IS TO BE CONSIDERED AS A
VALUATION favouring EQUALITY. It does not mean that women and men ARE TO BECOME the SAME, but THAT their RIGHTS,
RESPONSIBILITIES and OPPORTUNIIES WON’T depend ON WHETHER they WERE BORN MALES OR FEMALES. Gender EQUALITY
MEANS fair treatments for woman and man, according to THEIR respective NEEDS.

Hello Here4U
Here's my try:
Another torture is undoubtedly the longest exercise to do, because I have to search in many dictionaries to understand when to use each synonym. I think I did it quite well
I) Help my student:
[I]f [] nature HAS built man and woman WITH SUCH differences both PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY[,] how can they be EQUAL[?]
[N]ot only did NATURE MAKE THESE DIFFERENCES in HUMANKIND BUT it ALSO MADE IT in all living species of the planet[.]

II) Reorder the words:
1) ABOUT TWO THIRDS OF THE WORLD'S ILLITERATE ADULTS ARE WOMEN
2) LEGAL SUBORDINATION OF MARRIED WOMEN WAS COMMON ACROSS EUROPEAN COUNTRIES UNTIL THE 1970s
3) NOT ALL BELIEFS RELATING TO EQUALITY GENDER HAVE BEEN ADOPTED POPULARLY
4) WOMEN ARE FAR LESS LIKELY TO BE POLITICALLY ACTIVE AND FAR MORE LIKELY TO BE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THAN MEN
III) Another torture:
1. Usage courant :
To faint / To lose consciousness / To become (or feel) unconscious / To black out / To collapse
(et + rarement car plutôt utilisé avec out : To conk)
IF YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE DROPS, LESS BLOOD FLOWS TO YOUR BRAIN, LEADING TO FAINTING.
2. Usage familier (tomber dans les pommes) :
To pass out / (rare et informel) To keel over
I'D BETTER WARN YOU : I PASS OUT AT THE SIGHT OF A NEEDLE OR BLOOD
To swoon.
LADIES WEARING CORSETS VERY TIGHTLY COULD EASILY SWOON AT THE SLIGHTEST STRESS, BACK IN THE OLD DAYS.
4. argot (slang) :
To zonk out
YOU AIN'T GONNA ZONK OUT AFTER THIS SMALL SIP, ARE YA?
Si l'on s'éloigne du sujet, voici d'autres expressions approchantes :
To flake out (slang) = s'écrouler, s'effondrer de fatigue
To conk out (familier) = s'écrouler de fatigue.
To go out like a light = s'endormir en un clin d'oeil
To slip/fall into coma = tomber dans le coma
Bonus cheminée :
This word cheminée suits this exercise perfectly : one word in French with different meanings and different translations
We're used to sitting by the stone fireplace to warm up, and cooking in the fireplace like our ancestors. But we never leave our children alone in this room with a burning fireplace.
2. "chimney" (ou "chimney-pot") : conduit d'évacuation
Dad, have you had the chimney cleaned ? Because I don't want Santa Claus to bring me presents full of soot, nor dirty my Christmas stockings hanging on the mantelpiece!
3. funnel : cheminée du navire
Is the black smoke coming out of this ship's blue funnel a bad sign for its safety ?
4. smokestack : cheminée d'une usine
This factory's vertical pipe, called smokestack, is so tall that it can be seen from 10 miles away.

Hello, dear Friends,
Voici votre correction.
I) Please, help my student! He really needs you!
If nature built men and women differently both physically and mentally, how can they be equal? (Nature not only made these differences in humans/(1) Not only did Nature make these differences in humans, it did in all the living species of the planet).
Gender equality, equality between men and women (2), implies the idea that all human beings, both men and women, are free to develop their personal abilities and make choices without the limitations set by stereotypes, rigid gender roles and prejudices. Gender equality means that the different behaviour, aspirations and needs of women and men are considered, valued and favoured equally. It does not mean that women and men have to become the same, but that their rights, responsibilities and opportunities will not depend on whether (3) they are born male or female. Gender equity means fairness of treatment for women and men, according to their respective needs.
Not only did Nature make these differences in humans »)
(3)will not depend of weather they are borne male or female= ici, mon élève avait fait l’étourderie impardonnable d’avoir mélangé « whether … or » = « soit … soit » et « weather » = le temps, la météo. Ceci a donné quelques phrases étonnantes …
II) Can you, please, reorder the words so as to make meaningful sentences… All the words must be used, none should be added!
1) About two thirds of the world's illiterate adults are women. (10)
2) Until the 1970s, legal subordination of married women was common across European countries.(13)
(ne pas oublier la majuscule à European)
3) Not all beliefs relating to gender equality have been popularly adopted. (11)
La négation devait porter sur le NOM (beliefs) et non pas sur le verbe « have been adopted ».
4) Women are far less likely than men to be politically active and far more likely to be victims of domestic violence.(21)

I propose this translation for the last sentences.
1. About two thirds of the world's illiterate adults are women.
2. Until the 1970s, legal subordination of married women was common across European countries.
3. Not all beliefs relating to gender equality have been popularly adopted.
4. Women are far less likely than men to be politically active and far more likely to be victims of domestic violence.

Encore merci, Tereda!

translation of :
