Bonjour à tous,
Quelqu'un aurait-il l’amabilité de corriger ce script de mini-exposé, s'il vous plaît ?
Merci d'avance
Beginning in 1936, Highway 66 was re-routed over the Chain of Rocks Bridge. It's a bridge between Ilinois and Missouri. It is located in the city of Saint-Louis. The Chain of Rocks Bridge opened to traffic in July of 1929. This bridge may seem common but it has an interesting feature, it has a 22 degree turn. The bridge was built with a turn because the ground on which it had to pass was not robust enough. There have been many car accidents. The bridge's name came from series of rocky rapids, called the Chain of Rocks beginning just north of St. Louis. Multiple rock ledges just under the surface made this stretch of the Mississippi River extremely dangerous to navigate. However, one can no longer see these Rochers ranges because a dam was built in 1960. In 1967, the New Chain of Rocks Bridge carrying Interstate 270 opened just 2,000 feet upstream of the old bridge, which closed in 1968. The bridge deteriorated, indeed, it was too expensive to tear down, too narrow and outdated to carry modern vehicles. In 1985, the bridge started to be renovated to become a pedestrian and cyclabe and it reopened to the public in 1999. In conclusion, the bridge was built during the era of the love of the automobile and Route 66, and today it represents a desire to encourage environmentally friendly travel.

Bonsoir,

Bonjour georges33
D'abord...très bien fait. Bravo. Quelques petites choses que j'ai remarqué:
Normalement on ne dit pas que la terre est "robust" or "not robust"..."not solid" is better. not sufficiently strong...
from a series of rocky rapids...
Rochers ranges...this is not English.
...to become a pedestrian and cyclabe and... This is not correct. pedestrian est un ajectif...où est le nom. A pedestrian bridge...a pedestrian path... cyclabe is misspelled. to become a path for pedestrians and cyclists...?? to become a pedestrian and bicycle path. To become a trail for pedestrians and bicyclists. for pedestrians and bicycle riders....
Je crois que la première phrase est ok...le pont construit en 1929...beginning in 1936, Highway 66 was re-routed across the bridge. It's the history of the bridge...but out of order...you start with 1936 then talk about construction in 1929.
Good luck.
