Hello, Dear Friends,

I know that for some of you the word "ABACUS" means "HOLIDAY"...

As the two exercises are quite long, you don't have to do both. You can choose to leave one out...
I) VOCABULARY: Slide the abacus beads (letters) along the wires (lines) to form 10 related words (belonging to the same theme) reading down. (The beads are on wires, and CANNOT jump over one another!)
Work well! You'll soon realize that this is no game! . The theme is "JULY".

2) As for the second "game", the theme is "THE BEACH and THE SEA"
The ten following words all belong to the same theme. They are shown with all their vowels (A-E-I-O-U) already in place. Fill in the consonants that will complete the words and cross off each consonant as you use it.

Consonants: B= 2; C= 2; D= 2; F= 1; G= 3; H= 1; K= 2; L= 2; N= 7; P= 3; R= 4; S= 7; T= 4; W= 1

2) Consonants... celui-ci en a dérouté certains ... et maintenant, je ne me demande plus pourquoi! Sorry! ... Where have my favourite "informers in mp" gone?
SUNBATHING = prendre des bains de soleil.
SPADE = une pelle
(Swimming) RING= une bouée
T(H)ONGS= des t(H)ongs ( flip flops) So sorry!
FLIPPERS= des palmes
SAND= le sable
BUCKET= un seau
RAKE= un râteau
TOWEL= une serviette
SUNSCREEN= de la crème solaire

Of course, it's easier when I don't make mistakes...

Number 2 should be less tricky... especially as there's your "SOS help him!" exercise! Be careful, because there are so many mistakes you'll have to use your imagination...
(I'll go and check to make sure there are no typos... but, you know, I had checked this one a lot!
